Thursday morning in the King Edward VII car park, Windsor...
...and Saturday afternoon, in the car park next to West Wycombe garden centre, for Hell Fire Caves...
...not entirely immaculate, but looking lovely all the same. Some bubbling of the paint along the top of the front wing, and bumpers that hadn't seen the AutoSol in a while, but out and about on the winter roads, and lovely to see among the identikit Euroboxes, and Japanese shopping trolleys.

Covered a good few miles in the little Scooby Do truck (our daily like the one pictured above) over the last couple of weeks picking up bits for the new car that I should be collecting later this week... Spotted a surprising amount of interesting stuff out and about on the wet roads.
Best so far were a Bedford CA on a dual carriageway down Southampton way, looked immaculate, signwritten with Kempster or Brewster or similar...
A grubby TR6 in the car park at Uffington White Horse and...
On the damp A420 between Oxford and Swindon on Saturday, looking absolutely gorgeous and cool, and surprisingly small among the moderns, a rather lovely Aston Martin DB5 in silver...

Popped into a paintshop I know last week and the guy there had this immaculate 1987 Cosworth - can't remember the last time I saw one on the road ... paint was VERY nice on it ... he's not redone any though ...
In complete contrast, in a nearby village last week - old Golf in front of an MGB GT I think ...

What a great looking cossie. I'm looking for a good paintshop to get some work on my 993 done and I also live near Peterborough. Could you let me know which paintshop you're talking about and can you recomend them? Did they do that fantastic job on your Mustang? Newbury Bypass yesterday afternoon.
What do you do if the trailer has a puncture and you have no spare? You unload the Aston, jack up the trailer, remove the wheel and tyre, put it in the Aston and drive to the tyre bay.
Easy.
It's the new guv'nor of pre-war Aston specialists Ecurie Bertelli, whose name I rudely forgot to ask, in a 2 litre Speed Model.

A lovely 1936 2-Litre Speed Model with a drilled chassis and an Ulster-style body. What do you do if the trailer has a puncture and you have no spare? You unload the Aston, jack up the trailer, remove the wheel and tyre, put it in the Aston and drive to the tyre bay.

According to the experts at the DVLA, it has a mighty 0cc engine!

I'm guessing those clamps are on the spoiler as he must have glued the Gurney flap to his non RS500 spoiler.
It's a "standard" 3 door Cosworth with 500 rear spoilers fitted.I've no idea what a gurney flap is..? Obviously something the 500 had that the standard one didn't. Off to google...
It was bloody nice though...
This car is far from standard engine-wise btw

For any member living in Norn Irn - I was just in Conlig and saw a front garden with 2 Citroen XMs with German plates. A white one looking a bit neglected (maybe a spares car) and a really nice black one.
Then leaving Bangor I was followed by an immaculate Peugeot 304 cabriolet, cream with high-back tan leather seats. No camera, but like this one. Very pretty.
