Spotted in Whitby last weekend. The covering of roadsalt suggests it gets used properly!

Saw this last week in London, Renault 6 ,not as cool as but rarer than a 4.
I had honestly forgotten they even existed ... ! A mate's girlfriend had a yellow 12 in the early 80s ... The staff car we used to call it. To see that 77/78 6 out and about is incredible.

Saw two interesting cars yesterday. A lovely Alpine Renault A110 in blue, naturally, in Northallerton. Brought back good memories of seeing them on the RAC in the early 70s. And a rather nice Ginetta G15 in Skipton.

TBH all the old numbered Renaults have largely disappeared.

The 4 and 5 probably the most numerous nowadays.

List....4,5,6,8,9,10,11,12,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,25,30.Where are they all ?

At a place I was working in the 80s, the lady who ran thee print room would buttonhole men she felt were interested in cars and tell them her husband's car was, "Ooh, it's like a Rrrrrrolls Rrrrroyce." She said it often.

It turned out to be a Renault 12.

I don't know if she had any experience of Rolls Royce but she genuinely felt she was making a reasonable comparison.

Memory is coming back now, my uncle had a white Renault 10, think it was about G reg ... And my mate's dad had a succession of Renault 16s, I couldn't tell you the last time I saw one on the road ... We're talking again early 80s ... R16s were everywhere ...

Blimey, time flies!

After seeing a FIAT 500 van a few months ago (and not since) yesterday I saw a pale blue 500 estate in Plymouth. Looked pretty good from a short distance. If I spot it parked I'll get a picture.

Giardiniera is the name Fiat gave it.

Hope I spelt that right.

I remember the Alfa Sud estate was called the giardinetta but I didn't know FIAT used the same sort of name. Not surprising I s'pose.

Turns out that Fiat used Giardinetta too for a slightly different version.

"Giardinetta": Sounds stylish doesn't it?

In English they would be called the FIAT or Alfa Romeo: "Carryall"

Not quite as stylish somehow! hehe

Spotted this afternoon, as usual, in a back street of a village near Limoges. A work in progress by the look of it. More power to his elbow! Also, just down the road from my house I saw a Morgan Aero 8 - first one I've ever seen in the metal. UGGGLEEE.
