Leigh-on-Sea.

Or thereabouts.

Whether it's the real McCoy or not, I am unable to say.

I was walking past a front gate in the well-known French town of Oradour-sur-Glane yesterday when I spotted, tucked under a hedge, a very tidy Mk 1 Golf GTI. The trouble is with France you never know whether it's cherished or 'left to die'.

I presume you don't mean the actual town itself given what it is famous for?

I take it you haven't watched "Bullitt" for quite some time then?

The sight of any first generation Mustang will permit me a Bullitt moment. This is just fine by me.

Broad brush? Easily pleased?

Yup. Guilty as charged.

Not entirely sure this is where this should go, but it's a classic and I spotted it.

This was on Bicester Aerodrome. The catalogue is of the auction where the owner bought the car. I think he said this is the third time he has overhauled it. It's a '32 and it was the demonstrator.

If ever I were in a position to collect cars... this would be a good starting point:
