A picture a day....biker banter (Vol 3)
Discussion
Bitter sweet hour this afternoon, finally assembled the Gamma and got out for a run on it, good news it the new cooling system works a treat and it goes, stops and handles lovely, alas my new fork seals havent cured the leak on the LH leg, I think the stanchions may need rechroming so it's off the road for a bit..
Still really pleased with it thou, to my eyes its such a sweet little bike.

Overanalysing again. Why do all newbies do this and the "it'll help me learn to corner stuff". The thing that'll help you learn to corner is looking where you want to go. Simple as that.
Is it not a case of too much, too soon? I don't want to be one of those guys with a great bike that wobbles round corners, and surely I'd learn better use of the gears on a slower bike? Whichever way you slice it, I'll be working up to a Speed Triple eventually (or perhaps a T595 or 995i). The general advice seems to be start small, dream big as a means of learning how to ride well and avoid trips through the scenery. Biker's Nemesis said:

Road test then revealed a few other maintenance issues. One front caliper binding, headstock play, poor idle, carbs out of synch and tyre pressures. Still a very tidy example tho, nothing serious.
Top half being resprayed black to match this year hopefully.
