Did not leave runway at full speed. Some never learn.

Where's this? And more importantly, did you get shouted at by some Hi-Viz mong for parking there to take the pic?

It's at Bo'ness Road in Grangemouth.
Scale model of a Spitfire to commerate the contribution of pilots who flew from the airfield there in WW2.

First time that front wheel is in the air that piano wire tight looking brake line will pull right out the caliper would be my guess?

Are piano wires tight or loose. I have no idea. I've only ever played a keyboard.

Tight like a guitar string.

My wife's had two kids.

As tight as a Scotsman?

As tight as a Ducks arse

As tight a submarine door?

I am a Scotsman so didn't want to go there.

Fair play on the other two. Still maintain piano wires are tight though!

DVLA finally transferred my new bike's old registration back onto it yesterday. It's been a tough two months of resisting the temptation to ride it anyway. Today the wind had dropped so I thought I'd head out Rothbury way.

My extensive imaginings were surpassed by the speed, the fun, the feel of the road. So much information.

I'm very pleased. Also exhausted. And my clutch wrist grew quite painful towards the end - perhaps I'm not taking enough weight through my knees, maybe some grip exercising and I shall have a look at the clutch lever for adjustment.

This is halfway on my planned round trip (rubbish phone pics, sorry):

Notice anything missing? That's right it's the registration that had been hanging on the garage wall for all that time. And the indicators. I retraced my steps in the vain hope of spotting this important component, and hey there it was in a middle of nowhere ditch. Slightly scraped, little bit dinged. After some humming and hawing I stuck it in my jacket, bolts sticking in my neck. I'll stick it back on the bike tomorrow.
