A picture a day....biker banter (Vol 3)
Discussion
Got my tyres fitted this morning, while they were off I turned into a sad sack gave them a good clean, polish and wax. Gave the rest of the bike a quick once over while I was at it.
My daughter is to young to be playing out on her own so might as well do something constructive while keeping a eye on her.

Wish my dad cleaned my bikes like that.
All he does is pressure spray the fk out them so the rear disc locks on, my indicators come on and won't go off and cause the exup valve to stick only finding out when your on track And it won't rev past 6,000
It was like that when I got here is always the excuse.

What is the best method of checking alignment?
Are those tools that clamp to the rear sprocket any good?
I've not changed it as it didn't need doing. Just measured it before I took it off. Are those tools that clamp to the rear sprocket any good?
TBH I cant think of a good way. Plank of wood has a good chance its bent. String would be the better but how the hell do you know the front wheel is dead straight which could throw it off quite a lot.
I was thinking about buying one of those lazer things that shines up your chain seems to me that probably more accurate but even that could have possible flaws.
How do they manage to do it on race bikes. When they just change the wheel and tighten it up again ?

I'm not a massive fan of the R1s looks, although it's a great bike but that is a great looking bike.My daughter is to young to be playing out on her own so might as well do something constructive while keeping a eye on her.

ooks happy as fk to be on a 125..
it was slow going up some of them Welsh hills, he's doing ok considering he'd never sat on a bike until 8 weeks ago, I can confirm that a Varadaro 125 looks like a big bike but goes like a sewing machine.Edited by Jazoli on Sunday 24th May 21:11

Did you meet your mate closer to Wales or did he go all that way on a 125 ?

I went down there, he lives about 10 miles from the Ponderosa, we did a decent loop of 80 miles or so, lots of stupid 50 limits, which weren't really an issue today Did you meet your mate closer to Wales or did he go all that way on a 125 ?
