Recently separated from my beloved wife (7 months) and just sold the house - cash in the bank. I've been driving a £500 Renault Scenic for the past six months as the old girl emptied the bank account and I had to sell my Merc sharpish to get some cash in.
To be honest, the renault has served me well. Does everything I NEED, but doesn't inspire me to even go and clean it... not been touched since the day I got it!
Now, there is just me and two mid sized mutts. They never go in the boot so I don't need an estate.
Heart says: 'I want an MX5' yes, really! Head says: 'I need a saloon'.
The question is: do I spend loads of cash and get a nearly new sedan or save the cash and get an old MX? Would the dogs be okay in an MX? Used to have one when we just had the one dog and that was okay....
Now thinking about Jags, Mercs, BMW's all of which are loads of cash and don't leave me enough to buy a flat... I guess somewhere to live is fairly important!
Or, what about a bog basic car like a C1 - warranty and cheap.
It gets more complicated... I'm a bit of a cripple (recently broken back) so not that nimble (MX really is a stupid idea!) have no storage or off road parking.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

The MX5 sounds quite impractical to me; perhaps something in-between the two like a coupe? Integra Type-R, Fiat Coupe, etc.?
