I've got a few little jobs that need doing on my 05 Liberty GT - but they're getting looked at. What I'd like to start next is refreshing the suspension as its feeling a bit soft and there are a few knocks coming through, so what first? Any pointers as to what to look for when buying stuff??

I'm not after a B-road warrior but it needs to be more precise than it is at the mo whilst maintaining a decent ride. Budget is limited, and if things can be done as a series of steps, rather than as one big leap, then that's OK. Wheels are not going to be changed - currently as original 17" wearing 215/45 tyres.

The Legacy (liberty) Spec-B is supposed to be set-up with more planted suspension so it might be worth checking that out. If its like the previous model (GTB) it will be Bilsteins.

The standard wheels (if they're the same 17" that I had on mine, mine came off an '04 Legacy GT) are pretty heavy, so if you do happen to find some lighter wheels that you like that might help as well.
