For once I think they made a genuine profit on that as I don't believe there was £8k of labour in that and the parts prices seemed plausible.
And they could have easily not changed the steering taking the profit up to£9k

On the barn door dent - have a look online you will see they all have a recess in that door clearly for potential issues like door swinging open and crushing the body round the chrome handle.

Regardless the end result looked really good (I'd opt for Duck egg blue though)

I enjoyed that episode. Lots of diy-able tasks and an angle grinder proved better than Ed's induction tool!

Not a fan of VW busses but it looked quite good in the end.

is Edd really tall - or Mike really short?!

...I'm guessing the former as Edd is nearly level with the campervan roof!
Edd China is 6'7". So Mike Brewer is, what, about 5'10"?

It was a good episode.

As for strong cash a friend of mine sold a 3.2 with 120k on it for over £4k. Between that a very abused 70k example owned by a lady I also know (near enough every wheel was kerbed on that car in addition to the clutch being changed by the cheapest garage she could find and that's before I get to the discs being worn down to the nub) I know which I would have bought smile.

My Porker 944 with 40k more on it was a FAR more enjoyable and reliable steed than the one with less mileage. I will admit I do look beyond the mileage unlike a number of people though. For me if the car is right, there is no point looking elsewhere. I have known people to buy super low milers only to plough a fortune into if they actually use the car (tyres being the first thing).

Did they not try to do a VW camper a few years ago, but couldn't find one in budget (so they did a VW transporter instead).

I bet they're more expensive now than they were then.

That's the third VW van they've done now & they've not done any of them that well imo.

They wrapped one with blue bubbles and a green grass carpet that Ed "purchased"

They did one in bright orange that a soldier purchased

This one which was also a bit boring

Id like to see them do a full split camper rebuilt but I guess it would cost too much and take too long

Having seen a few splitty restorations the amount of time it would take would probably give the producers enough material to make the next ten series of WD based on just one vehicle.

They were only UK sourcing then I think. This week's on came from the States, where they are cheaper and can be found rot free.

There was the series 'Campervan Crisis' which covered a rebuild of a van. The most amusing thing was when they dipped it to remove the rust and the only thing that really came out of the tank was the roof.

Very good. I didn't realise the Z1 bolted together like that, the door mechanism seemed remarkably simple surprisingly.

Well, that was for me, by far the best episode of the series so far. Have never been a fan of the Z1 but absolutely loved the way that car turned out.

The dealer had some nice kit in the warehouse. 2 VX220s and a couple of TVRs.

Also noticed that many of the cars were RHD & UK registered. Odd for the Netherlands isn't it?

Certainly is given the punitive local taxes they levy.

Anyway he had lots of nice cars - I liked a 997 and a Bentley Turbo R

Target cars and a number of CAT cars on their books.

Now do they lose that cat status when it's in Holland....
