Howdy

I am after a new set of brake pads with a stiuplation that (assuming) I get 6000-8000 miles out of a front set, they may do 2-3 track days in that time, so I'd like something good enough for fast road that will cope with 8-10 20 minute track sessions in that replacement period.

I have been looking at Mintex M1155, Hawk HP+, DS2500, Carbotech XP8, Carbone Lorraine RC5+

I'd like something that perhaps doesn't quite produce as much dust on the road, but that's not a deal breaker really. Budget is £100 - £130 not because I won't put a high value on braking or my life, but because I believe I can get something perfectly adequate within budget.

Recommendations?

That depends VERY much on the car.

I have an e36 track day car & have tried most compounds/manufacturers with only one positive outcome.

Pagid RS29s they last a full year of track days & driving but cost around £250 (AP 4-pot calipers)

Having tried all others I will only use these as if nothing else they mean only 1 visit under the car for front brkes in a year.

They are also MUCH better than anything else I have tried and beforehand I would go through £110 of DS 2500 on one track day!
