Tom Tom rider in cars

Hi I have a tom tom rider which I use in my cross blade , hence a motorbike type sat nav , I also use the sat nav in one of my other cars using the normal car mount with speaker , do other people suffer the same problem of the mount always dropping and not staying at the correct angle once set to your cars windscreen ? If so how have you fixed it ?

If it falls off the window now, wait 'til it gets hot.
Useless in the States.
I use the mini sand bag, not once have I had to retrieve it from the foot-well

its not a falling off the window problem but the ball joint not being tight enough to hold the position you have set it to and no way of adjusting it like other sat nav holders
