Ford Focus zetec 1.6 (Water round the plugs and mis firing)

Help, With my partner driving carefully though this bad weather the adove keeps happening and the engine management light keeps coming on, is there something missing on this car, any ideas? 06 plate

Not sure what years were affected but the Focus used to suffer from rain water getting past the washer jets and dripping onto the cylinder head ,might be worth checking

Theres two core plugs that rot out on the 1.6 Zetec, there in the cylinder head and chuck water into the spark plug wells. There either round press in ones or star drive screw in ones.

Key thing to check is if its antifreeze or screenwash because as said the washer jets do like to leak
