Hi,
For the last 5+ years I've been using the ITN converter available at www.benichou-software.com to plot routes and load them into be old Tom Tom 720. I use bestbikingroads, Michelin green roads etc to pick decent routes before setting off on my motorcycle for my holidays. It's work great, but the 720 is starting to play up so I'm looking for a replacement.

The latest Tom Toms don't have full blown intinery planning (e.g. where you can put 20 or more waypoints)

Anyone know the last model to have this function?

Phil

I think it is probably 550/750/950 range (all out of production I believe, but you may be able to pick one up) - it might be worth asking on pocketgpsworld about issues you are having with 720 as they may be able to suggest fix

I am using a 950 because I also believe that is the last/best model to have this feature. I pay for live services with HD Traffic, and for map updates, so this is a very expensive solution by comparison with updating.

Is anyone using the latest TT 6000? If so, have they yet added itineraries (they said they would) and how do they work?

If the 720 is starting to play up and it looks like battery failure search on eBay for a replacement battery, 7 quid and good as new. Battery comes with a tool to open up the unit and a YouTube video guides you through the 5 min process.

Just done this with my 530 after weighing up the replacement options, good as new.

you can still pick up a classic xxl new from some online sellers, that has the full itinerary function....
but i'm led to believe that the option for itinerary still resides in what is now a hidden menu in the new TT's....one of our club members has hacked a couple for other guys - sure there's a link/tutorial somewhere.
we use the fucntion all the time in teh club - can't believe the muppets at TT have taken the access away from all the latest ones barring the TT Rider. Bizarre.

Recently bought this one, it does itinerary planning as the early models did.

It was £69 a couple of weeks ago.

I also had a tt 720 which I brought in 2008 from Costco not long after buying it the battery died but it still worked on the charger.
At the weekend I really needed it to go on a hoon but the usb port had broken and it could not be used.
On Monday I went back to Costco and got a full refund no questions asked cash back, not bad as I had it for 6 years.
I really need a sat nav that has itn planning you can still buy them if you shop around.
Was thinking about getting a second hand one off ebay but of course there are no guarantees with it and you are really taking a chance.
Tesco do a tt xxl classic 5" screen for £80 which is very tempting.
