I feel like I am being stalked !

I have an opinion , sorry about that if it offends you.

I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling every time I see an Audi

I briefly owned a 2007 Passat and hated that brake . I sold it in less than a year, my shortest ever car ownership . Never again!

I have had this problem with both sides now. To get going, jack up the car and check which wheel is locked on. Remove the road wheel. Remove the motor on the offending parking brake (two Torx bolts). There should be a splined shaft on the motor and a socket on the caliper. (This was the first case for me.) If not there will be a gear rusted into the socket. (The second case.) If the latter, you will need to wiggle the "cog" until it comes free from the socket - try tapping it from all sides. Then, using a torx bit, turn the caliper socket CLOCKWISE. This is a bit counter-intuitive, but unscrewing it tightens the brake further. When the brake disk is free to rotate you have gone far enough. Disconnect the power feed to the motor and tape it up to the suspension arm. Replace road wheel and off you go...

Remove the no2 fuse in the dash fuse Board, that will Release the hand brake if it sticks on, that's what I've just had to do and tomorrow I'll have to take it to a garage to get it looked at again as this happened last year and I had to have the drivers side caliper replaced.
