Anyone know why when my phone dies or is turned off, trace keys automatically seems to turn off? not a massive problem but its a bit of a pain to keep having to go back in and change it every time,

Anyway I came here about the camera. Is the lens made of cheese or something? Mines covered in smeary scratches. Night shots now give point light sources absolutely horrible glows/halos like there is water or Vaseline on the lens. May try polishing it back to see if it improves. Pretty horrible though despite it being in a case!
Read back a couple of pages and all shall be revealed wink
Well well, I shall give that a bash sometime. I am not massively bothered because I tend not to use phone cameras anyway. But it is nice to have it just incase you do need a photograph of something.

For those of us still on stock ROMs and EE, 4.4.3 system update is now finally available.

EE last to release yet again...

I've had 4.4.3 for a while now. Fortnight maybe?

Yep.

Edit. Though I sourced the handset through CPW so it's not EEified... do EE devices have bespoke firmware?

I now appear to have a native HTC file manager so can finally copy stuff onto the micro SD!

Yes, EE-supplied handsets have a bespoke build, hence the delay. CPW ones will be HTC's standard build.

Anyone get the new HTC Eye update today? Read a bit about it but certainly seems like some funky camera functionality added. Simultaneous front and rear picture taking and merging the pics, activating the camera to take selfies merely by saying cheese hehe

Totally painless as well, none of this apple backup bks and hey, worked first time too.

Interestingly EE are showing as 'Push To Customer' on this update already but nothing in my updates... Damn you, EE.

Tap Settings
Tap Accessibility
Tap The Power key ends calls
Ticked - enabled
Unticked - disabled

In addition to the instructions above, it should automatically turn off the display as you put it to your ear, is yours not doing this?
