Will be interesting to see what is in store, and if he gets the reliability/usability bugs ironed out.
I do think this is a great evolution on the Ultima, and I don't think anyone can argue (even if not a great fan of the looks) that some serious engineering and design has gone into it.

I think this car is sensational, and hats off to the owner for committing the serious cash to something so different. Whilst I can appreciate the 'it's not an Ultima' comments' I think it is a great example of what can be done with these cars.
I can also accept the 'it's not pretty' comments, but I don't think a car needs to be pretty to look great (the Nissan R35 Gtr for example). All highly subjective, I know, and views will be divided with none necessarily right or wrong.
I do think a more restrained version could look very special. I particularly like the way the side profile has been broken up with the front and rear clams being wider than the centre section. When I originally saw this car, I thought the track had been widened. Having now taken delivery of the standard body, I can see how much the clams taper towards the centre section, such that a similar effect could be achieved by re profiling of the standard body work.
Never any shortage of potential modifications with an Ultima!

It's a slippery slope my friend and this is why most British cars don't look like Italian cars. Life is too short for ugly...I can also accept the 'it's not pretty' comments, but I don't think a car needs to be pretty to look great (the Nissan R35 Gtr for example). If you are thinking of making your own body, why not use this one?
