I'll try to keep everyone informed of any updates as I get them. I'll also create a new post this week detailing all BBMF's flying on a weekly basis. Whilst it is available online a lot of people will probably forget to check.

I'll be at Eastbourne airshow and Bournemouth before my last time assisting the flight at Lincolnshire lancasters member day in September.
thumbup will be at Eastbourne on the Thursday, will look for the (I presume) goody truck

Moving onto other duties after the members day?

Sorry to hijack, but do you know why the BBMF cancelled fri/sat at Farnborough?
I tweeted BBMF and Farnborough, but no response from either frown
I can find out, but I think it may have been due to the impending doom that was forecast for the whole of the country although eventually seemed to affect the west and east.

No truck this year just an inflatable tent that now matches the rest of the RAF, and just books, posters and stickers to give away.

I will be entering the big wide world of civie street. Scary stuff!!

Did I see this lanc flying low over St. Albans heading aprox north east around mid-afternnon yesterday (Sunday 20-07-14).

Very very cool sight, I had a camera close but was too busy waving like a loon as i could see the outline of people in the cockpit as it was that low.

EDIT: to add date.
That would have been the BBMF Lancaster probably heading back to Coningsby after doing a flypast at the Farnborough Airshow

Lost track of this thread, but I'm flying back to the UK on board the Canadian Lancaster next week, really looking forward to it. Currently in the US, but set off for Hamilton tomorrow eve to start crew training ready for Sundays 4 day flight. I haven't used twitter much but will do from Wednesday, plan to report as much as possible of the flight home via @maffmunson

Flying into Coningsby is going to be fun :-)

Like many many people I'm sure, I consider you to be one of the luckiest guys on the planet (particularly considering your car collection!)
Have a fantastic time, and we look forward to the updates!

You are one very lucky chap. A lot of people on PH would love to have the same opportunity as you.

Just sitting sitting in a Lancaster would be an amazing experience.

I hope you have blue skies for the flight and enjoy it. Please post lots of photos on here once you have returned.

Thanks for the kind words, really am looking forward to it, but at the same time I realise what an undertaking it is to get her over to the UK.

I should be at the CWHM by this time tomorrow if all goes to plan.

Yes plan on taking as many photos/videos as possible, will keep twitter updated as much as I can!!
