Impreza trackday road legal tyres

I'm after some track tyres for a 96 impreza size 215/40/17 don't really want to pay more than 100 per tyre also what tyres from your experience are best also where do you get them from ? Many thanks

You won't get 888 or AD08 for £100 I don't think.

Federal 595 are meant to be ok for a budget track tyre.

I'd go for the AD08 if I were you though, they work very well on Imprezas.

Not sure if they're available over there (or how pricing compares), but I was using Achilles 123 on the turbo MX5 when I had it and they were surprisingly good - probably don't stick quite as well as the R888, but lasted well and were cheaper than a T1R in the same size, about half the price of an R888. Bloke that put me onto them was racing and hillclimbing an Evo 3 on them IIRC, so they should work on an Impreza as well.

Hmmm how many track days do you think a set will do minimal road use literally to track and back ?
