Driving an auto Iveco Daily

Sorry if these seems like a really pointless post but recently started a new job as a home shopping delivery driver for ASDA. Im familiar with driving vans, been a relief driver for Greggs for the last 3 years, but i have never had to drive an auto or one with a chiller unit. so if anyone has any tips on driving an Auto or experience with the van involved that would be great, thanks in advance
I was working for Asda when they switched from Sprinters to Dailys. There really was no comparison. The auto box on the Iveco is a strange semi automatic one, which is not conducive to smooth changes in my experience, it tends to be very jerky, and there was an audible clunk from the gearbox as it shifted, if you happened to be pressing on a bit.

I don't mean to be too negative, but I really didn't like driving the Ivecos. I did enjoy the job though, wish you all the best with yours.

Do you get your own vehicle? I suspect not, but the actual box adapts to your driving style.
ASDA and Tesco did extensive testing of most manufacturers vehicles and the Daily returned very good fuel figures.
Personally I don't like the Agile box, but you have to remember that it's not the same as what you find in cars.

Sat in with a driver, as i'm waiting for my mandate to comeback. It seems not many of the drivers like them, hesitate pulling out of junctions, and they like to roll about a bit on hill starts etc, i'll keep an open mind but it sounds like they're worlds apart from the Transit Jumbo i used to drive.
