Hi, I'm currently renovating the interior of my classic Porsche 911. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts I can't find anything to restore the appearance of the leather trim. The problem is scuff marks (as below, so far I have cleaned the leather then tested 3 different products in an attempt to get a flat finish (Auto Glym leather cream, Aerospace 303 and a coloured leather polish similar to shoe polish. Despite 3 different approaches, in daylight the marks look awful. Can anyone suggest a way of refinishing the panels without resorting to buying new ones? Thanks in anticipation of your support. Paul

Have you actually tried shoe polish? Buff it on and off with a pair of brushes just like you would on a pair of shoes.

Thanks for the reply. Haven't tried shoe polish yet, but the stuff I used that's similar to shoe polish. It polished the good leather and left it shiny, but the scuffs were still dull. I would like to achieve a natural matt finish if possible. It's pretty damn frustrating...

Anything that can sort out the kids school shoe scuffs is good by me. Did it on my 996, was a bit shiny at first but soon settle down. Very good at hiding the marks and you can give it plenty of coats smile

Just want to add an update. Jagnet was spot on, currently half way through the 5 step process and all is going well, I believe the trim will look like new when finished. Thanks again..bow

Hi cobra paul, did you get to the end of the process? How did you find it? Did you remove seats etc to do it? I'm thinking of doing this on my 11 year old A4 cab with anis yellow leather. It's looking tired and cracked, and would probably benefit from this, just concerned that I'll make it worse than it was when I started!

Benchmark leather, Essex, ask for Mark, Connelly trained. Did some work for me, perfect.

Search for warmfuzzies and seats for images.

Hi, All went well, very happy with the results. Easy enough to do if you take your time. Best use a vapour mask if completing the work indoors. Removed all trim from the car first including the seats. Cost me about £140 in total to do the whole interior.
