Thought I'd share some pictures of how my scabby old Vixen body looked in January (at the top) and how it looked on Saturday, after spending the time with a great painter and fibre-glass expert who did a fantastic job on it with a lovely finish. smile

Looks great.

I must ask, what exhaust are you running to make it so loud? biggrin

We were running a single MGB box on the 1600M at one point, which spat flames on the overrun, but we've now gone back to the standard twin box.
Still makes a good racket, especially when it comes on cam, got a real rasp to it.

It was an ACT exhaust made up by JP Exhausts in Cheshire. smile

First one they sent didn't fit at all, hehe but they were really good and remade it using the old exhaust/manifolds.

Top job. Probably the best Vixen colour as well.

What colour is it? Is it an original colour (Silver Fox) or is it a more modern one? Looks good whatever it is.

That looks gorgeous! Who did it and how much did it cost you?

Looks beautiful. The picture of the central body tub shows how much larger the holes for the side vents are on an S3 compared to an S2. I like the colour of your 290 S2 too.

Lovely.

I would be interested to hear how it turns out because I will (eventually) need to find someone who can do mine and you aren't far from me

Hi Brain,
Great looking paintwork.

One question about the nose.
I have a S3 too but mine has 2 air opening in front.
One big as yours but also one in the airdam.
Or does it only look like that because of the position of the camera?

And how do you fix the mesh in the opening?
Plastering it in after this paint job is awfull.

Not going to bother with any mesh, the black painted bits at the front are metal, so that's all that will be there. smile

Hi Chris,

I am pretty sure Silver Fox was a contemporary Ford colour, on cars such as the Cortina Mk 2 1600E. TVR used it in period on cars such as Chris Slyfield's Tuscan V6.

Oliver.
