Anyone know of a Machine Shop or outfit that could tackle polishing some split rim barrels.

Wheels are dis-assembled and typical of weathered unprotected alloys used in the UK, tarnished and lightly pitted. They require smoothing and polishing before re-assembly and I would rather they be done professionally as I don't have the hours that they would require by hand.

Thanks

C.

Would the wheel refurb places be equipped for that kind of job?

Very few and even thinner on the ground up north. The wheel refurb places that do, tend to make you pay through the nose for the service whereas a good machine shop could probably fit them in between their bread & butter work...

You could try the polishing company in cramlington - if you google 'the polishing company' you should get the website.

Hope this helps.

Never thought of Mike as he's a Detailer by profession. Worth a call though. Thanks. wink

I got Coopers BMW body shop at Preston farm to do my alloy - repaired a kerbed polished Audi rotor arm style wheel. Decent job.
