Stunning photos as ever Alex, cheers for posting them.

Love the 993 GT2 and the Carrera GT pair. The 918 remains my favourite of the new breed of super/hypercars too.

The LaFerrari is growing on me a lot. Looks a bit less chunky at the back in every side on shot I see.

Only a 911 but there can't be too many that look like this one.

That thing is sadly very local to me, I saw it either yesterday or this morning. Absolutely dire, I've been tempted to get a shot of it myself.

I think he was referring to the panels which are composite material.

Rare cars in a rare location for them up a mountain in Innsbruck. These guys have balls doing a euro trip in these things.

Value aside I'd far rather one of these than a 918.

The implication was that the car won't rust because it's composite. Which is true for the panels but not the chassis. Hoist by his own petard.

As lovely as it is - and I used to have a W124 - it's not an AMG. Or more specifically it's not the E36.

Tell tale sign: on an E36, 1/24 in RHD I recall, the rear bumper array flares out and down towards the ground at an almost dihedral angle. On this (standard 300) car where the mud strakes are behind the rear wheel, it just fares in as normal.

It's irrespective really. All W124s are lovely cars. And immensely well built.

I see- good knowledge, thanks. Yes the E36 has already become £££, any of the more usual 6 cylinder variants would suit me just fine.
