Yep that's a press McLaren 675LT, no customer cars out there yet and only just released to the press.
I'm guessing the other is a 991 GT3RS, again no customer cars out there yet.
Yes it is a 991 GT3 RS.I'm guessing the other is a 991 GT3RS, again no customer cars out there yet.
As I've grown to like Porsche more and more over the years, I've become more frustrated that they are always put up against cars costing massively more. What's the new RS, £150k? The 675LT will demand at least 100k more.
I suppose it's a backhanded compliment to Porsche, but their VFM offering is outstanding.

993 turbo no less. Quite a lot of money sat there if it's a real one. Good spot. mikey k said:

I did think it was the 996 turbo that had the rear wing vents but as I've said I'm no expert.
Not as obvious on a 993(Incidentally, the reason for the brake ducts on the turbo S is because the aerokit conveniently covers the standard vents. So with some 'spirited driving' the brakes on the 2S with aerokit could be compromised)

[/quote] Nice Wiesmann GT MF4. According to Howmanyleft there's only one registered in the UK but I know of two others one of which is this one:
which is sitting in my garage!

If that's unregistered I can only imagine how much fun that could be to drive under the cover of darkness. Not that I'd condone it of course. The stuff that dreams are made of!
Edit. Quotes...whatever

I'm considering a day trip to London with my Son to do some car spotting - is a weekday in the middle of August any good? Will the Arabs still be about?
Also, which dealerships are friendly enough to allow a look round.
Any input appreciated.
Hello Mr Bus. Now ramadan is done you should do well on any day for Arab cars.. I'm taking my lad down on 7th August, this month rarely disappoints. Also, which dealerships are friendly enough to allow a look round.
Any input appreciated.
I would recommend Jack Barclays in Berkley Square. They have always been great for kids visiting. McLarenare less friendly, but usually are fine for a look around. Ferrari Atellier in Knoghtsbridge are good for a pop in, and usually have something interesting. There was an F40 a few weeks ago. All the showrooms on Park Lane are ok with visitors. The BMW i showroom have always been great and are happy to chat and explain the cars. Mini are worth calling into too. Bob Forstners have more recently been a little more "off" but sometimes ask for a charity donation to let you look around, look in the window first and decide if you want to go in.
Further out, Joe Macari always has some good stuff in, but is a bit of a ball ache to get to, so think hard before allocating the time to go.
Please feel free to drop me a message if you need any help with other places to look/routes/travel etc.
If you do ho, you can be pretty certain to see some great machinery!

I'd suggest a Saturday, Also, which dealerships are friendly enough to allow a look round.

Most, if not all dealers will be friendly enough to have a look around, Bob's on Park Lane requires a donation to have a look around tho,
JD classic's on Mount Row, Mayfair is a good place to go to see Classic's
Miura SV, to name one car there
Check the hotels of Mayfair and Knightsbridge as thats where the Arab's will be, also check Harrods in the evening and Sloane St etc etc etc
Right now there's a Cinque Roadster (Unless it's left finally to go with the owners other cars to Cannes) , a Saudi Huyura, as well as the Aventador's and 458's that are around, not to mention the couple of Veyron's and 918's that can easily be seen if you are in the right place in the right times...

Saturday's are out due to other commitments, Sunday trains take longer to get into the Capital from Nottingham - about an hour longer on the way down!

I went mid August last year and saw very little, went on Saturday although quite late and saw a fair share, i think if you go mid afternoon you get a better chance. It's not a particularly nice place to be, the majority of the Middle Eastern people i encountered were pretty rude, a couple took to insulting my friend because she wouldn't take notice of their lewd comments. The women just barge past you like they're some kind of superior beings.
The guys in the cars however are happy for you to take pics, they slow down in the road so you can get a nice shot. Aside from the noise, i didn't see any stupid driving from the Arabs, the English on the other hand! There seemed to be a Skyline meet as they were tearing around Knightsbridge. Was quite funny to see an M3 trying to make a racket only to be completely owned by an Aventador following close behind.
Hi there,
Spotted a Red Lamborghini Countach Anniversary (no rear wing) this morning around 9:05am on the A50 from Holmes Chapel to Knutsford.
No photo as the memory on my iphone was full so wouldn't open camera and the memory card on my dahs cam had crashed (flippin technology).
Reg plate was HOG40, driver must have been just giving the car a run as he went up to the Whipping Stocks pub before turning round and heading back to Holmes Chapel.
Awesome car and certainly brightened up a damp Monday.
Seems odd that it was only registered last year though. Correct engine size so perhaps one from a collection rather than a kit car
Regards
Tim
