Good Morning All.

Since having to sell my beloved Chimaera last January to help towards a house purchase, i have done nothing but moan about the fact i had to sell the old girl....

Anyway,

im getting married early September and would love to have a TVR Tuscan as my wedding car. Any recommendations on companies local to Cambridge/North London that offer this service at a reasonable cost?

Much appreciated

Mark

PS. That is unless i have managed to buy one before then....

Not in North London but you'd have a blast driving it back from Somerset.......

i used a Tuscan from Mike on my wedding day! Fantastic car, loved it. Mike is great to deal with, and so cheap compared to an Aston Martin, Ferrari etc..

Thanks guys. they are very reasonable compared to the guys locally, but at 250 miles away and 1.75 per mile over 150, it will cost a small fortune and cheaper to hire closer to home.

however a change in circumstances, being made redundant, but just I have just been offered a new job to start the day after i leave so the redundancy will be burning a whole..

So is it another Chim, or finally get what ive always wanted..... with a 14k budget, it will be a good chim or a not so good Tuscan!!!!

How about a TVR convoy taking yourself, best man etc (or even better – bridesmaids smile ) to the venue? I’m sure locals TVR owners would be willing to help out….

Do this. I have taken part in 4 wedding convoys now and its a lot of fun and no one expects any reward although a commemorative mug or bottle of wine usually goes down quite well :-)

As I am first in can I have my pick of the bridesmaids for the drive in ;-)

There are a few ways you can do this. Most of them had an element of getting the wedding party to the venue - either groom and best man or in one case the entire wedding party including the bride in a chim in full wedding meringue which was fun!. Then sometimes after the ceremony the bride and groom take off in their roller (or whatever) followed by a TVR convoy with best man, father of the bride and whoever else taking a nice convoy drive while the guests make their way to the reception.

Great opportunity for a photo shoot and maybe a chance to do a few ride outs for the guests during the reception if the drivers are able to hang around for a bit.

Thats what I call a top turnaround.
My first Tuscan cost 14k but I then had to spend a fortune on it so be careful, I wasn't.

This.....

Don't collect for a few weeks though.

Has had a power rebuild early in its life, It was the first one I looked at but after seeing a couple other dogs, I decided this was the best I could get for my budget. Not perfect but considering its age it's in very very good nick. Has had a load of work done recently including chassis work at str8six

Totally different from the chimaera in every way, but hope ill get on with it.

When she arrives zippee I'll let you know.

Cheaper than hiring for the day though. spin
