The new Captain Kirk seems a little camp to me. In fact I kept thinking of Freddie Starr the more I watched. Now with him in the role it would have been something...

Holy crap that is appallingly bad. Like, really really bad.

Have they? yes, they... they've managed to make it worse than the original. Impressive.

Yes, it's bad. But - so was the original. It's bad in the same way non?

Disclaimer #1: Scotty, Spock and Sulu are annoying as fk.

Disclaimer #2: I've only watched the first 5 mins of Ep1.

I have to take exception when you say the original series was bad nono

When you watch it NOW it is well dated and some of the stories were iffy to say the least but as a kid when it appeared on our screens it was ahead of it's time compared to Dr Who... IMO

This latest lot...yes it's quite poor but I still watched them smile The guy playing Scottie is James Doohans son.
You probably wont get around to watching the second one but the guy playing the green baddie is Lou Ferrigno of "The Hulk" fame biggrin

It may be because I grew up with it, but anybody else enjoy TNG and not massively keen on any other Star Trek?

Apollo? That's Khan really isn't it.

All I am thinking is "Hi, I'm Troy McClure. You might remember me from such self-help videos as "Smoke Yourself Thin", and "Get Confident, Stupid.".

Yes, as the movies were good.

I like the fact that everything looks like the original and with a small change of cast it could be more of a goer.
