just got completely ripped off by breakersyard in London... paid for set of heatedpowerfold mirrors with door harnesses and powerfold switch only to get delivered non heated non powerfold mirrors with harness for one side only and a powerfold switch which is cracked and is incorrect for what I asked for...
still waiting for anyone to even answer the phone to me ...
but anyway.... they are a lot bigger than I had envisaged,
although they do offer an excellent level of visibility and should look nice if they were in prepreg carbon..

split them up and had a look,should be pretty easy to copy them in carbon,would have to be made in 2 halves though,leg and housing then bonded together.
From some angles I do like them and from others...hmmm..big...
BUT and its a big but... they do give the best rear view visibility /that I have ever seen in a GTR............big though.. big..
did i mention they were quite a bit bigger than I was expecting...

What are they off of? maybe a look in the flesh on a car might put a bit of perspective on size, they look ok to my eyes.From some angles I do like them and from others...hmmm..big...

in the morning when you check the carAwww sod it, I think I am just going to modify the mounting bases on them and fit them as they are....paint them silver and see what they look like before going any further with them..
the level of visibility is just so much better than I hve ever experienced in any GTR.. guess the car could end up with big juggs..

agree they look big but then look at the porsche gt1 were the same.
i agree they look fantastic but need to be smaller.. maybe fiat 500 or such

already looked at them Dom,they wouldnt work,would be easier just to make some from scratch because of they way they fit together and the angle of the joint,and they are about the same size.i agree they look fantastic but need to be smaller.. maybe fiat 500 or such

Regarding the size,the more I look at them the more I think they will be ok once they match the rest of the car....they look perfect and not big at all from some angles,but do look big from others... a bit like a GTR in that respect really

the viewing angle is just amazing when compared to anything I have ever experienced in an GTR, should transform driving and reversing the car.what is the viewing angle like, good?
Mounting should be fine in the exact position I intend but will be reinforcing the mounting point as a matter of course.
after looking at GT1 and Mosler production/racers pictures I dont think the size is really an issue for me anymore,especially considering the increased rear view.
I need to have a base mounting plate and cover fabricated to allow them to attach to the clip and allow the sprung fold and everything else on them to work as a production car. Itsgoing to be a bit of a fk on getting them to fit nicely, but shouldnt be hard given a little thought. The issues with having a powerfold mirror seem to be increasing after discussing with someone regarding retro fitting this type of mirror...as far as I was previosuly aware its just all small electric motors,but apparently not just motors for the powerfold function..
