As my TVR M is out for painting, is time well spend doing the electrics on a friends TR6. Engine have just been rebuild and a Eaton M62 compressor and a new cam added, to boost power a bit. I'm fitting a Vems ECU on it, and if everything goes well will the car be on the road in a couple of weeks.

Brilliant, how much power are you expecting?

The owner will be happy if we reach 180 hp @6 psi boost, It's an carburetted US model originally with 104 hp. From my calculations shoud 200 hp be within reach, Moss claims 220 hp with their kit.

But we start carefully with an 135mm drive pully, with 145 and 155 mm ready to bolt on.

Things is progressing, the car have been on the road for 3 tune-up sessions, and most is sorted by now. Pressure is running at 20 kpa/3psi for the carefull start, byt ready for more.

I'll post a youtube video shortly

Final tune is done, we settled for 7 psi of boost, after trying 8 si but too much knocking as a result. But with 7 psi is it running smooth and pulling perfectly from 800 rmp until redline. The fuel map / EGO recording is not showing any signs of flat spots or other irregularities, and the owner is very pleased.

I'll post the dyno curve in a couple of weeks after he get it measured.

So now it's back to prep'ing my TVR3000 for some hill climbs

Power on the rear wheels measured at 160 hp @ 4700 rpm with more if taken higher, but far more important is the flat and smooth torque curve, with 240 Nm to 260 Nm avaliable from 1800 rpm to 4500 rpm with a max @ 3000 rpm.

And a very happy owner, with a very driveable car
