Very much enjoying mine too, the acceleration is great, from 100 on it doesn't seem that fast though,
I have thought this too about our 640d and the acceleration really tails off for some reason above 100 whereas with the other fairly quick cars that I have had they have come into their own at that speed, appreciate the 335d is a fair bit quicker anyway than the 640.

Is it because at high speeds it's more about power than torque?

I would have thought it would have been better with 313bhp, my 550 seems much MUCH faster than the 335d above 100, which surprised me.

Its subjective - does anyone have the official Autocar 0-100/110/120 ie all the increments and then it can be judged. At the end of the day it should feel like a 313bhp engine or actually it should feel just as quick as a 335i above those speeds (more or less).

I've found mine good up to 130 (not been higher) not comparable to the RS6 but still plenty fun enough.

Out of interest, how do the clever headlights work if you're overtaking someone? Do they dip themselves? Can you use them on a motorway / dual carriageway and they'll dip themselves appropriately? Very cool and clever tech regardless of the answer!

Have the LED version in my F80.

Camera in the rear view mirror. I've used them on unlit dual carriageway in the fast lane and mostly the drivers side light is dipped and the nearside is tracking the around the cars in the left lane dipping as required.

One thing I've found using them as I use it all the time is In getting flashed hugely more now than previously.

Also even when dipped lights a notable amount more flashing - I do concede the lights are so much brighter so I guess oncoming traffic assumes I'm running full beam.

If you overtake someone it will dip the left light until you pass as it tracks the brake lights of the car you pass.

Yes you can use them on motorways, most of the time it just illuminates the verge.

R8
To 335d
To C8 RS6

I'd put money on it you'd go for the Tesla P85D or its replacement following the RS6 / appears you go in cycles savagely uneconomical economic and on we again wink

My new love! Very happy with it so far. Just finished the 1200 mile running in over two weeks. Every mile was a pleasure, even avoiding the full beans as advised.

BMRuss - how is the car handling now you have fitted the ACS springs? What was the cost out of interest of parts + labour

It's much better than it was, the front end doesn't seem to have come down an awful lot, but the whole wallowing feeling when cornering has been reduced significantly and of course it looks much better.

Springs cost me £220.00 and £200.00 to have them swapped over by a BMW specialist.

Good reading. Well the deed is done. Negotiated what I think! Certainly the dealer didn't appear too pleased when I presented him with the on line offer to match. But match it they did complete with my chosen options, so happy chappy! Two months delivery so just a waiting game now.
Anyone want to buy an Audi A4 biggrin

Would you mind letting me know where you got you "online deal"? Email through my profile if you like.

Had mine for a couple of months now. Finished in silver, 7000 worth of extras, got a great deal from David Ferguson at Douglas Park in Glasgow. Blew all the others out the water.
Car's torque is awesome, know what you mean about the wallowing when cornering fast, but I found if you get back on the power the 4wd pulls you through the corner and seems to make it more stable.

It is a lovely car

Fast
Economical
Practical
Modern
Not too bling/you could if not into cars mistake it for a 316d m sport which is great if visiting clients.

How do you find the 4,500-5,750 rpm rev range? That gets really fun
