She's easy on the eye, but I just can't take her seriously in a journalistic role. I caught the end of her show last week where she was talking about corruption in Ukraine, and at one point she was interviewing the fella in charge of the anti-corruption bureau. She saunters into this board room wearing casual clothes whilst the officials are there in suits. She then starts asking quite basic questions, and the interview shortly concluded without much being established.

The whole time though I was sat thinking "I'd rather Paxman or someone 'professional' was sat there doing this interview".

I can see why she's doing these shows though, its so younger people can get an idea of the things that are going on in the world that aren't on the news so much, but in a way that isn't boring/baffling.

I'm in my thirties now and an interest in politics and unreported things such as her topics has grown, and when I watch such shows I want gritty details and tough questions. Ten years ago though I'd have only had a passing interest at best, and would just be bored or confused by the more gritty details, so hearing her just scratching the surface of a topic would have been just right for me.
I do agree with certain points but when I watched the one about the Cocaine she didn't even cover the basics and just came across as someone that knew nothing about the topic and was learning it on the job as she went along. There is dumbing it down for younger generation but this was a tad to fair. At least provide some facts to work from.

She is easy on the eye which I suppose works in her favor.

We've just seen Stacey Dooley doing a hard-hitting investigation on BBC3.

We thought it was a spoof, but having looked it up, it appears to be genuine!

How did this girl get a job at the BBC?

To be fair, in this particular show I thought she suited it quite well (If you're talking about the Magaluf episode). She is of the generation that would be taking part in this kind of holiday, and had it been Paxman there I'd have been wondering why they had a dinosaur trying to understand a young person's game.

She needs to stick to this kind of reporting, instead of 'deeper' subjects I reckon.

I'm assuming that the programme had been edited to be at its best, but the continually un-insightful statement of the obvious, 'shock' and gormlessness were fairly lame and, as I said, spoof-like,

It reminded me of Karl Pilkington's travel programmes.

She appeared to be a nice girl, but I'm puzzled by her being a presenter. There are plenty of intelligent and articulate 20-something people out there.

Having read about some of the other, more weighty, subjects she's has "investigated", I'm intrigued by what she was able to offer

You may have seen some hard-hitting, thought provoking and emotive documentaries on BBC3 over the past few years that are fronted by a rather sweet and completely likeable young lady.

EDIT: Just to be clear, I found that while trying to establish if there was some nepotism in play.

She is very pretty.

Seems to dress-down too much, though.

Her questioning is not bad for a ~25yo. Even if some of the questions / analysis may be fed by older producers / directors (as they are with most documenters).

I wouldn't say that.
She looks like Sarah Ferguson.

That kind of puppy dog surprised look.
"OMG. They prostitutes are taking advantage of pissed up teenagers and blokes who should know better!"

Meh. It's all part of the economy.

She's a bit older than that. 25 year olds are grown adults, not children. I work with some very capable people of that age.

Her physical appearance isn't really relevant, although she reminds me I the sort of dizzy young temp that might be brought in to do a bit of filing and answering the phones and that the older blokes all fancy.
