I'm looking for recommendations for a quality reference book on Porches. Not just a collection of photos but something accurate and a good reference item. Any suggestions please Guys.

Karl Ludvigsen's three volume opus "Porsche: Excellence was expected" is probably the best, although it must be getting on for 10 years old now

Thanks for that but I really wanted something more up to date, up to 997 preferably.

Ludvigsen 3 vol set I would think. But only goes up to 2003 because of when published. I've only ever glanced at pages, masses of them in this set! Certainly one of the most expensive. Too many books as said are full of glossy photos. Boring.

I was watching this one on ebay but negatives in feedback (only a few grant you, but I like 100% pos) has slightly put me off, plus it's across the pond. However, it is cheap (relatively speaking) at $250, even adding in the carriage of over £20. Usually this vol set is being asked up in the £200+ even edging 400 or more.

I'm not a Porsche nut, I'm a book nut ie: book publisher - I'd just like it for my collection.
