I love this guy. He's a walking, talking "how not to do it" guide.

Up in front of magistrates on a dangerous driving charge where not only have you posted the evidence on youtube yourself but have also been so goppingly stupid as to go on the BBC news to talk about it do you:
a) plead guilty, apologise profusely, tell them how you've learnt your lesson, etc
b) plead not guilty, claim you were in total control of the bike until... Um.... You crashed it

Answers on a postcard.........

The mong in this one is strong.

I don't think he has thought out his not guilty plea one little bit. I hope he likes living with mummy, because his fine and costs are going to hurt him

Italian marble, I think. Either than or it is very difficult finding an exact match for 30-yearold rusty barbed wire and half-rotten posts.
Fence Cost + Time spent putting the fence up + time lost on making money farming. - I'm guessing?
he's clearly just trying it on.

The guy is lucky to be alive.

Unfortunately.

The gene pool could do with a few less like this, as such people invariably endanger the lives of others around them.

There seems to be increasingly random placement of white lines in places completely safe to overtake on a bike, and places where there are no double whites that are completely daft.

It was still a tt place to overtake, and he managed to royally cock up the next corner. I wonder how much money he made for his youtube channel though?

Seems likely doesn't it.

The placement of double whites is clearly driven by accident or 'near miss' reports rather than a simple assessment of whether it is possible to overtake safely or not in a particular spot.

It cost me £800 to put a fence in my garden. Not surprising.

What exactly is the point of your post?

Bikers don't actually leave home each day not expecting to come back.

If you really want to get your blood up have a look at this.

The news video said wall which is different to a fence. I expect the cost to properly repair a dry stone wall (which is a dying skill) is more than a grand.

You say that but there is an element of it. I (like many bikers) have a wee ritual before going on the bike. No matter if it's going for a hoon or going to work. Part of mine is to give my daughter a kiss and cuddle just in case i don't come back. I do this anyway when i leave the house but make sure i do it before i go out on the bike.

Do you do that because you plan on riding like an idiot or because you expect someone in a car to take you out?

The answer to this will also cover the point of my questioning the other posters comment about bikers being risk takers and essentially not fit to be on the road.

Lets take the 'that much is evidenced by their chosen mode of transport/hobby' comment.

How exactly do you arrive at a conclusion that someone is a risk taker because they choose to ride a bike?

It's not just bike riders though. Someone has come off a road near where I live and barrel rolled their Fiesta down the embankment. It's impressive considering the corner barely registers in a car or on a bike.
