Kind of yeah. I didn't really want to be taking delivery of the car in the depths of winter, considering it's gonna be a third/Sunday car, so thought I'd get it delivered for the '15 registrations in March. But I've further complicated matters by ordering it in Exclusive paint which adds 12 weeks to your build time, apparently!
You are made of more patient stuff than me sir. Mine will likely be garaged the wet days over winter while the Freelander takes the muck and rain. I have now been driving the Freelander for 4 months and I just can't take it any more .....!!mad (my last drive was a Vantage v12v, I hope you understand).

Mine is going to live outside so I don't want to see it covered in snow and crap and not be driving it at all. I am certainly not patient at all but decided that I wanted the car but none of the standard colours excited me enough so I'm going to have to swallow the wait.......

I live near Warwickshire (pay my council tax to them!) but live on the edge of Birmingham/Solihull!

Not 100% set on the colour yet, it's between a few. Let's just say it will be "lairy"!! smile

Well done on the lairy! My good lady is not impressed with my choice of racing yellow... Personally, I feel if you are going to have a sports car, make it sporty looking... Or as I pointed out to the MD of a local high end car emporium last weekend when he was being critical of my colour choice:

Look down the row of a 100 odd cars you have for sale and count hom many are not a shade of black, grey, white, brown or silver. Would you believe, two of shades of blue and that was it ! (the row has Aston's, BMW, Mercs etc)

Vive la difference (as they say in Solihull, so I am told)

I was going Racing Yellow as well, great colour. My problem was that I've had a few yellow cars before so I wanted something different. If I'd ordered 6 months ago I may have gone with Guards Red but it's fairly common now....

Great result - you basically have to spend over 100K or get two cars (one for road, one for track) in order to do better than a Cayman GTS - brilliant.
That said - the Cayman S is a great package also and Autocrat rated it highly last year too - this years iteration just has the final bit of kick they were looking for - and the competition has improved since last years verdict too.

That a Cayman can even compete in this company is impressive - terrific result. McLaren won't like this

Disappointed with the 4C, it looked like such a brilliant concept. If Alfa hadn't taken so long releasing the 4C I would have been driving one.

Well my GTS arrived on Friday and looking absolutely gorgeous! For those who haven't seen one yet, it looks even better 'in the flesh'. Everything the press says about it's looks is 100% correct it is a very beautiful sports car. Comments from friends and family where unanimous with all saying it is one of the best looking sports cars they have seen and from all angles.
Sadly not much opportunity to fully enjoy the driving yet but enough to know it is wonderful to drive. If you are waiting for yours, it is worth the wait, you will not be disappointing. This is definitely one car to keep for ever!
On a minor point, if you are trying to decide on your final spec, add Porsche entry & drive. In addition to the usual it also allows very easy access to both 'boots'. You simply wave your hand in just below the badge area and they pop open (possible just me but I didn't realise this and neither did the dealer!).
If I can figure out how to upload photos to this forum I will do so (any help appreciated!)

Also 3 of the judges voted it above the GT3 which is impressive.

My thought exactly......
I have also just picked up my CGTS and what a car I can't stop smiling and thats coming from an ex 911 C2S owner.
I have been looking for some stone protection film for the front bumper, side sills and air intakes, and behind the rear wheels, all the usual area's that get marked with normal driving....There was a chap on here that has done a comparison on 3M, ventureshield and xpel looking at the Xpel ultimate product claims to be self healing but as usual quite expensive. I have detailed my car with Swissvax best of show which I used on my last car (Seal Grey) however not 100% sure if there is not a more appropriate product out there for a metallic white model, don't get me wrong the car does sparkle in the sunshine but a little bit of a perfectionist wink
any feed back welcome

I had film fitted to the usual areas on my T350T I never really liked the look of it but in the 3 years I had it there where no stone chips. My CGTS arrives next week and I have had a look at the films but can't decide if I can put up with the look or with the inevitable stone chips.

It is having a Swissvax treatment before I get it and I think they use onyx. I know you buy cheaper and its down to prep etc etc but I like the Swissvax products and I am going to order the Swissvax Glacier which is supposed to be the one for white cars.

Werkstat works great on white.

Not a fan of wax on white cars.

I am a tad OCD about keeping my cars immaculate so am very interested to know whether anyone has or will be protecting their GTS, product, how it looks and how much. Sat in Guernsey local options are limited or none for such things.

Thanks all.
