Sadly I would never get planning permission... Guernsey is very strict on such things... Which is good and bad.
What about a car port, not as good but better than nothing? Or there are those pram hood type covers that attach to the side (or front) of the building.Edited by bcr5784 on Tuesday 14th April 18:58

2. Leave my racing yellow Boxster GTS outside in the weather with an appropriate cover on.
Def not this. Car cover + wind = scratched paintwork....no matter how clean your car is before the cover goes on

Why not just build a wooden/prefab garage shouldn't cost too much and keeps your P&J protected.

To be fair, you could probably get it lightly machine polished once a year or so to undo the damage, but for the sake of hassle, if it was me, I'd just leave the car out uncovered, make sure there's nothing obvious that can drop on it, and check it often for corrosive bird poop to clean off

Dust/particles blow under the car and up and come to rest between the cover and the paint. Cover moves with wind and micro scratches everywhere the cover rubs on the car. Obviously worse if more windy.

Ordered CGTS at start of March and still not heard anything yet with regards to getting car. Anyone else ordered then and heard??
In my observations it is always me that chased for info from the dealer, and not just Porsche!! Did you at least get a guesstimate from them when it may be ready?Cars I've ordered this last year are:
BGTS - 12-14 weeks from order, looks like it's on time
VW Tiguan - 12 weeks from order, been advised it may now be 8
Vauxhall Vivaro - 12 weeks from order, maybe I'll get it in 8 but that's next week and not looking good
Peugeot Boxer - 2 weeks from order and made them wait a further 2 weeks as wanted the 15 plate on it.
BMW i3 - 8 months from order, arrived within 6 months
It can be a right pain every time you think about the wait, but at least it's ordered!!!!

Just came across this - not sure what your planning people (or your bank manager) might think about it - but..... http://www.gazebox.net/ As the Carlsberg advert might say, Carlsberg don't do ... but if they did they'd be the coolest in the world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhNDTeUm3sU&fe...bcr5784 said:

My very high spec CGTS is for sale at Porsche Glasgow. Rhodium Silver with black/silver turbo wheels. Amazing looking car. Done about 1500 miles.

That's above new price unless they've missed something!D.

Yeah had the invite to PEC. Don't think I am going to bother with it tbh. Bit away from me.

Big mistake, as the half day experience is well worth the effort to do. We've been several times and every time has been worth it. If you come from a distance as we do stay somewhere nearby such as Whittlebury Hall. it
