Some previous chat here on the pros and cons:
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I've only had mine for about 4 months. I have read the control arm bushes can be knackered quite early on, even at a relatively low mileage. Which would be a good excuse to upgrade to poly bushes and tighten up the steering feel. Don't know of any other major issues.
What is your budget?

Google KPAX Racing C30 if you want to see what some relatively simple but effective modifications can turn it into.

This the one that has caught my eye and a white one in the classifieds on here.

Budget would depend on if they would accept trade in.

Mine is near identical to the white one, only on 17 inch alloys. Nice spec and low miles.
The black one is priced quite well but the black wheels may set the alarm bells ringing for some people.
The facelift R Designs (2010 on) do have a slightly better suspension set up (shocks & springs) and steering than earlier model, although still not in the GTI/ST league. Apart from that and the headlights the cars are virtually the same, including the interior.

The white one is nice and its about the closest one to me for sale. Guess they did not sell many of these cars?

Found another one but not so sure about the color, what are the options on this?

The R Design has a good spec as standard. I think stuff like 18 inch alloys, a crummy sat nav system and the - quite powerful - Premium sound system were the main options.
On numbers, you won't see that many T5s about.

Really liked mine. Good amount of power and mpg wasn't terrible. Engine note was great though some people prefer the note from the Focus ST which, with the same engine, had a slightly louder, more obvious note.

Not the last word in dynamics or handling but good nonetheless.

Interior equipment was excellent (I had the R-Design spec) and it all had a premium feel about it.

However, do not underestimate how much of a pain the hatch shape is! It can be a total pain to get certain items into the boot due to it's wierd shape!

I would change the exhaust and air intake to get that 5 cylinder singing. The Monaro has a custom made exhaust on it smile

Also a remap is mandatory.
