She's a strong girl! Very observant, I don't like them so now you've pointed it out I'll change them. Good man.

Anything else you'd suggest, I'll take all ideas on board, I'm relaxing now, I feel I've got it Sussed.
I hope I don't rue those words.

Alun, don't change the tie wraps. The bigger one look like its well engineered. Sort of Tanka Toy.

I'd love to come over and have a quick look over what you've done before its all back together.

I'm handy with spanners but I can't muster the enthusiasm you exude. How about we swap some spannering for entusiasm?

I'm the same Alun and love working on it and learning as I go along.
PIstonheads is good and bad, taught me about everything I know, but it's also made me spend all my money on the car after seeing everyones mods.
Everything I do, I think Oh maybe I can make that better and I'll probably do it eventually so I'll just upgrade it now........ Then it turns into a never ending project.
I'm interested to see how long your manifolds will hold up, they look great. What do you think? Will they corrode again quickly?
I'm taking mine off tomorrow if it's not raining

one thing i've just randomly thought of that I did was change the fuses for glow fuses, it's come in handy a couple of times already.

Just clip the long ends of the cable ties. That is what the pros do.

Brett a pic of my de cat Y after 6 months, I'd polished it once!
My thinking is as I've got all 3 sections polished, they should all brown off together, same colour, if I dab some Solvol on them as I do my checks, I can buff them as I inspect, lol .
As they are now smooth its easy to re polish them. It will did colour but any colour that shines sort of looks good.

Alan, pop round anytime and have a gander. Its hard to believe its legal!
Mate I've had a drop off in work for like a year, another job didnt happen a few wks ago and I thought I've got nothing better to do, I've got a big job to do on the house I'm living in but I'm sick of it, I've done a number over the years and when you've got little money its a nightmare, once the tivs sitting happy, I'm happy, I can get back to what I have to do rather than what I want to do!

Mate if I had the time I'd work on these things 24/7. Soon as I'm up and about( on my feet) ill gladly come over and help on yours mate, I've been away from this sort of stuff for too long. You know I'm going to drool over your Rover don't you.

Alun.

Oh I've got you, smilie face. Its because I don't want it to end, the paint is soft really so they still need tweaking. I like it in the various stages, I want to remember doing this when I'm old as a hat. Its been a baptism of fire but its maybe what I needed to fire me up for some other huge difficulties. Enough said.
Cars don't you just love em.

Re attach wishbones next. I've had a dental problem for like two wks so I did a little last Friday and finished off yesterday. To much pain to bend over!!!

Hope you guys like the results so far. Al

Looking great, really clap I know the efforts put in believe me. But if that's 'cermakrome' on the manifolds don't expect it to last and expect even less for customer support. If something else, please tell ears

Looks very nice mate although I don't like you very much at the moment.
After seeing what you were up to I started cleaning things up while the car was off the road. Hundreds of hours later and I'm still not done cleaning, sanding, spraying etc. Made me realise how much time and patience it takes. Mines not as clean as yours though
