So on balance so far, our teams transfer dealings are a win for us.
Davies an unused substitute and Vorm not even on the bench vs. Siggy one assist and one goal against United at Old Trafford.
I am very pleased that we have signed Davies & Vorm, but not too happy that we let Siggy go, i always liked his desire & attitude & i feel he could have been a real asset for us this season, there are plenty that i would have rather got shot of instead of Siggy. Having said that i hope he has a terrific season for Swansea & i hope the Swans have a good one too .Davies an unused substitute and Vorm not even on the bench vs. Siggy one assist and one goal against United at Old Trafford.
Man utd were not great at all at the weekend but all of their players are trying to impress & i feel that Swansea havn't been given enough credit for their win at the weekend, Gary Monk got it spot on with his tricky pacey players one on one against utd's realy slow players.
Always nice to see the underdogs win at one of the supposedly bigger clubs.

All quiet on the signings front isn't it... Levy in the process of stitching up yet another manager?
Apart from the 4 already brought in and with a first team squad already at 30+ players?Yeah sounds like a massive stitch up...
As for the four players we've bought only one of those is likely to be a fist 11 player this season.

I cant believe we haven't sold more players.
Even if we aren't buying it seems ridiculous to continue with this many highly-paid average players.
I'm sure a post on here stated that MP had to sell before he could buy.Even if we aren't buying it seems ridiculous to continue with this many highly-paid average players.
As you say we have our fair share of mediocre players.

What's the point of Schneiderling when you have Capoue, Sandro, Bentaleb, Paulinho, Dembele, Mason, Carrol. Yes the manager might want him but when you've got at least 7 players in that position and a squad of 30 odd I can't imagine many Chairman green lighting a 20 million plus transfer.

I'm guessing that no one will come I until someone leaves.

Schneiderling is probably a better player than most on that list, I would only miss Sandro if he left. He does look a we bit on the podgy side at times & they say Poch's training methods are fitness, fitness & more fitness so maybe he'll trim down.
I'd be sorry to see Dembele go, i still feel theres a fantastic player in him somewhere

And is he really better than the list of players above?
Can't say I see it myself, but that's just me.

And yet of the 7 players to leave Southampton he's still there and there are plenty of clubs that need a player like him...so is he really that good?

You are missing the point, the chairman sacked two managers last season to appoint poch what's the point of appointing this guy giving him a long term contract and then not giving him the one player he wants? And is he really better than the list of players above?

This is exactly what he did with avb appoints a new coach then doesn't give him the tools he wants.

At some point you've got to draw the line.
So far every weakness of the squad has been addressed (you could argue another striker is needed) but buying a midfielder is nowhere near the top of the list.
