Soldado is an absolute liability.please can someone, anyone show me even one occasion where he has justified the purchase?

I agree although he's about the only City player who'd get in the Chelsea team. Maybe Silva on the bench.
Don't be daft.

The score line is a bit harsh on us. I thought we played quite well for the most part.

Despite the pen miss, that is the best I have seen Soldado play. In fact he is probably better suited to the way Poch wants to play as he releases the ball A LOT faster than Ade who just seems to hold everyone up by fannying about. Problem is his confidence is shot...and the pen miss def wont help.

Mason was good again...he should have buried it when Soldado put him through. Shame as he is usually a v good finisher.

Lamela is so frustrating. He isn't learning fast enough. Keeps losing the ball in worrying positions and his overall play is very naive. Not getting to grips with the physicality/speed of the prem!

Anyway, I thought there were a lot of positives. City would have probably won without the ref being a total arse!

We had a few chances that's for sure but City looked likely to score every time they got near our box, I think this was City's best performance of the season so far & all in all the only real difference between us & City was that chap Aguero & what a player he is.

Anyone know/ hear anything about why Vert wasn't picked? Him and Kaboul looked really good the last couple of games.

Just something after the international fixtures?

I'd have Kompany, Zabaleta, Kolarov, Toure, Silva and Aguero in my staring Petro-Dollar 11.

All my city pals were telling me how bad they were.TBH I thought they were quiet.. silva was anonymous ,but aguero obviously ran you ragged (swap aguero for that useless git you have upfront and the score could have been reversed),why don't you defend so badly against us ? You seem to save it for city.

To me it looks like Poch/Verts are not best of friends. I would imagine the not signing a new deal has something to do with it.

Poch doesn't rate Verts I think that much is clear. I simply cant understand how Kaboul gets in the team let alone why he is skipper.

We are so st at the back its unreal, we'll be lucky to get top 7 this season.

On the plus side ive been presently surprised by Ryan Mason, god knows why its taken so long but he looks like a really good player.

Kaboul was voted captain by the other players. Our centrebacks are just awful. Kaboul makes a token goal giving mistake every game, Vertonghen is lazy and Fazio has seemed a bit all over the place ever game I've seen him feature. How much things change in 12 months. We are so shaky at the back.

On the bright side, I feel like Eriksen, Chadli and Lamela are so close to clicking. They look very strong together at times.

Point 2 and 4 are gibberish, particularly 4. Point 5 is what I was saying and I completely agree about Mason emerging. I do agree we have positives to focus on, but come on - 4th? Let's not do this to ourselves again. Arsenal could be on 0 points and we could be top of the league and we'd still finish 5th and they'd still finish 4th. hehe

It's more Spursian to discuss who won't finish 3rd, namely us.

Hey I didn't write it.

I posted it tongue in cheek hence the laugh but for the record I don't think we'll finish 4th or anywhere near it! laugh

That info was everywhere. I fear for you if the Spurs thread is your only source for football news.

Top Google result was telegraph so I'll paste it:

"...head coach Mauricio Pochettino consulted his squad on which player deserved the armband."
