After seeing the lowlights of yesterday's game i really cannot understand why we would play a weakened team in a competition that we really could have won. It would seem that Money comes before glory in the modern game.
What was Vorm doing for their second goal ? I fear for us if one of the big boys come in for Hugo.

We'd have to win another 5 games to win the FA Cup. We only need to win 2 games to win the League Cup - starting on Wednesday. What was Vorm doing for their second goal ? I fear for us if one of the big boys come in for Hugo.
Other things to consider - Kaboul & Adebayor played, just to remind the world that they still exist, should someone wish to by them. Still should have been a strong enough team to win the game. Does go to show that we only have one truly effective line-up/formation, even with all our strength in depth. Over reliant on Kane's movement and finishing. Really need to bring someone in during this window to provide some other options in front of goal.
Can't see it happening though.
With regards to Lloris, until we can match the other clubs with wages and CL footie, we are always going to be vulnerable. The only answer is to secure CL footie, which is difficult if all your best player's leave because you haven't got CL footie....
However, he's contracted to 2019, so it would take a huge bid to convince Levy to sell. Only the Gooner's are in need of a keeper here, and that's not going to happen. Real want De Gea, so maybe United might be in the market one day. It's only really PSG that would be able to pay the fee, so depends whether Mr & Mrs Lloris are happy in London or not. You'd have to think that a move for Cech would be cheaper and easier for clubs, rather than pursuing Lloris.

I used to work with Hugo's mum, went skiing with him when he was about 10. Bumped into Fabian Barthez with him and little Hugo got his autograph. I remember telling him about THFC, think it was the year Jurgen saved us.
GOod story.Oh how I wish you'd have skied with Lionel Messi as well.
haha..I suspect I cant take all the credit for him signing for spurs I seem to remember he was playing for Nice at the time and was a very good tennis player. We also went to the local tennis tournament where he interrupted Boris Becker who was giving an interview to telly. BB gave me a very dirty look indeed but was very nice to HL! Sadly his mum died only a few years after this.
