One of THE iconic football photos.
Mackay didn't like it apparently.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/to...
Blib
I was there on that day, it happened just in front of where the old players tunnel was.
There is/was a bar in Edinburgh called Rosies or Pegs and it has that photo blown up to 8ft by 6ft on one of the walls
A great and gentle man off the field, a tiger and colossus on it.
Oh for the likes of him today
Theres a lot of dust in here

Agree. I consider myself very very lucky to have seen players like Mackay et al in the flesh week after week. And Not only Tottenham. There were some great players in the late 50/60/70 as well. Every team seemed to have a superstar, except ManU who rivalled Spurs. Best, Law Charlton ( whose 'thunderbolts' either broke the net or seriously injured someone near the corner flag) JIm Baxter, John Charles, Haynes.etc
Players who were one club players, local boys, who really played for the shirt.not for the money.
However, from what i have seen and heard of Harry Kane ,he wont be taking the Greasy Spaniards Euro like two of our ex's have. The only way i can see him leaving is kicking and screaming at Levy who would skin a turd for a halfpenny, the profit pure 100% profit
