Hi and thanks, it's montego blue. Yeah N52 engine.
I have the same engine in my 125i which was undetuned back to 260 bhp. It's the best non-M engine BMW have produced IMO. And the last non-turbo I6 they have sold in any new car.

It's so creamy, I sometimes wonder if it's not filled with custard. Yet it sounds the business beyind 4k rpm and pick up nicely at 1k rpm. Simply stunning, as I am sure you've realised !

Love the coupe, I've got the 3.0si roadster & agree with your statement on economy-on a decent run mine gets near 40mpg, remarkable for an engine like this!

Sticks.

Looking good! I've not driven a Z4 yet; can anyone tell me how the steering compares to the E46? This model could be a contender when I replace my 320i.

The steering isn't very good, one of the first electric systems, takes some getting used to in my opinion.

I find the steering much lighter than the E46, too light really. Press the sport button and it adds weight to it, which makes it about right. It's not great but not awful imho, and better without runflats.

Wow that's an interesting POV, for me the steering in the e46 is night and day compared to the Z4C electric set up which has zero feedback, strange inconsistent weighting and a huge dead zone either side of the straight ahead it's the worst thing about the car.

Don't get me wrong I love the Z I've had mine for 7 years and swapped my e46 M3 SMG for one, It's the prettiest car I've ever owned and I'll never sell it.

And yours looks lovely in that blue.

Here is mine:

Hmmm...that is one thing that would put me off. Shame, as the rest of the Z4C package would be ideal.

But that is just my POV remember, Z4stu has a differing one.

I'd try one first.

I am yes, Bridgestone's a bit harsh on the ride.
