Early photos of the next Outback. This is from a US site to the UK spec may vary.
The body has some resemblance to the XV which may or may not be a good thing.

Well the current Legacy and Outback are the very worst of bland after the prev generation and I have been hoping they would return to a more tidy style and incorporate some of the technical improvements.

I might even buy a new one.

I was looking at an XV driving past the other day and thinking I actually quite like it - good shape, heaps of ground clearance, pity they don't offer a turbo version! Just the 150bhp 2.0 NA petrol.

Yes. 200 bhp would be more like it!
Also a proper auto not 'rubber band drive' aka lineartronic.

Anyone tried an XV? They don't seem popular but look quite good on paper...

Screw the auto, I'll take the 6-speed manual one smile

I've heard the base spec is pretty plastickey inside, but the higher spec with leather etc should be a nice enough place to be, and in typical Subaru fashion I'm sure they will be durable interiors when you're tromping mud in and out of them.
