Finally decided this will be my next watch. Any discounts available either here or in rest of Europe? I think it was around 5k in Dubai. I presume heathrow duty free don't do them.

I doubt it'll be that cheap in Dubai. If I remember I'll check if they have it in the duty free tomorrow on my way home.

It was in the duty free in the terminal that virgin fly from in January. Might be wrong on the price but as I remember was 5k or 5.1k

They seem to be available from uk dealers albeit on a shortish wait list. Would rather buy within eu at a discount if possible

I REALLY REALLY like these and I REALLY struggle with the fact that I already have an all black ceramic GMT that I really don't want to sell for sentimental reasons!

CAN'T have both, that would be mental

My local AD says they haven't had any, and have 5 people on their list ahead of me.

So,I bought one from a grey market dealer at list.

Was looking at one of these myself and couldnt find any discounts. Just for info in the last 10 days, ive looked at the following places! smile

Heathrow T5 - Only has 1 peice every 2 weeks. No way to hold it; right place right time. Would be retail less the VAT i guess.

Heathrow T3 - Dont stock any SS Rolex models.

Hong Kong Airport - No stock. Retail only which works out pretty much at UK retail (65k HKD IIRC)

Hong Kong AD's - Stock available, and possible discounts if you have a contact. Theres about 30 odd AD's in HK.

Goldsmiths in Trafford Centre - Has stock, retail price (5950). Would do 0% finance with 20% deposit over 24 months. Waiting list is 3 months, possibly less.

Funnily enough my local AD (in Newcastle-under-Lyme) has one in stock right now at retail. No discount, No 0% finance.

Not sure what im going to do now lol.

Really? AD in Edinurgh had one in their window yesterday. Another has one in the safe, but for sale. Why anyone would be stoopid enough to pay a premium for a regular production watch is beyond me!

In Dubai duty free today it would cost 30,600 Dirhams, which at today's rate is £5,100, but they don't have any in stock and don't get very many, so I wouldn't bank on being here and them having any stock.

£5250 from Jersey + 5% GST refund when you submit the refund form at the airport when leaving.

Works out to £4987

Make a weekend away of it with the Mrs + watch purchase... = Win Win!

I'll be doing this when I purchase my BLNR...

I was in Abu Dhabi emirates Palace 2 weeks ago. The dealer in the hotel had one. They give you automatic 11% rebate which worked out at £5k exactly. I passed.

Simply because I wanted to see the releases at Basel. Turns out the pepsi gmt I was hoping for is not out in stainless steel but white gold only. In retrospect, I should have bought the blue black for that price.
