I am planning on driving for 3/4 weeks through Europe later in the year and I was enquiring as to the availability of a GPS device that would accurately record the route taken, for the full duration of the tour. I don't necessarily need it for live navigation but simply a 'breadcrumb trail' record.

Any ideas please?

how about Spot tracker?

We used the Spot Connect device and SPOT Adventures Live Maps during a 5-month trip around Europe last summer. Battery life on the Spot Connect device wasn't great but I see the Personal Tracker has improved on this.

Any GPS logger should be able to do that, I use an AMOD and a Sony for my photography, leave them logging and then geotag my photos.

Thanks for the information, one further question, on some of these devices, a different memory is required for each Country visited. Is there something available that I can just leave and forget?
