I blame Kurt for this, but somehow he's got me collecting the Optimax Top Trumps cards. Yes, I know it is sad and yes I know that anybody who knows me will laugh! However, I've got:- Caterham R500 (x2), Chrysler Crossfire, Jeep Grand Cherokee (x2), Ligier Ambra, Maserati Coupe, MG TF160, Morgan Aero 8, Skoda Octavia RS (x2), Skoda Superb Elegance (x3), Toyota Celica, Toyota Corolla, TVR Cerbera, TVR Tuscan. Anybody out there want to do some swapping?

Regards

James

Birkby, You are one sad individual. - However I do have an idea, I could use my Top Trump cards as discount vouchers against my next bill.......

there's a thread runing on this very subject on general gassing, and everyone (me included) has all those cards, I'm afraid! The ones to get are the Noble, Maserati spider, and Ferrari.

Yes it is Cerbera Speed 12. I'm off to look at general gassing now.
Sorry Al, but I have forgotten how to sell, so I've gotta do something with my time.

Bet you haven't got Shell's 'Man in Flight' or 'History of the Motor Car' coins, or 'Great Britons' cards in presentation wallet?

Ah, those were the days. Petrol was about 32p/gallon I think, sigh.

Hi Simpo,

I haven't got those, although I do have a 2 inch plastic Smurf playing football - I think there were four to collect circa 1978 - does this count? Am I now "cool"?

Cheers

James

Smurfs didn't used to be cool, though they probably are now. Does anyone remember stickers of international footie players (mid-70s?) I was at school at the time and a friend was a .22 marksman - he stuck Johann Cruyff onto the target in the range and proceeded to shoot his nuts off at 25 yards!

I'm pleased to report that the trusty old school range is not, as I'd feared, now a home for asylum seekers, but still a rifle range, and very well used too! Amazing!
