Not at all. Vomiting generally occurs a while after eating or bares no relation to eating. Regurgitated food usually is immediately after eating like a minute after, tends to be less effort involved in the whole action aswell! Sometimes a hairball can be involved and cause either reaction!
I asked 'cause Pepi throws his food up from time to time, sometimes with a hair all, sometimes just his un digested biscuits. He's not a food 'bolter' or overeater.

Vet said not to worry, but you still do! laugh

I know I do with Lucy when she goes through a phase! She has more important health issues than her vomiting episodes to worry about though!

Are the biscuits brought back up whole? If so Pepin is not breaking them down in his mouth which may cause these episodes.

I'm not an expert but it seems like it's regurgitating rather than vomiting going by what you said. Today for example I put his food down went into the kitchen and started cleaning the littler tray. I had literally just scooped into the bag when he walked in and threw it up next to the litter box. He looked at the box but decided he preferred the floor. It was that quick. Probably less than 5 minutes between bowl hitting floor and food hitting the floor on the way back up.

The other two times it was similarly quick. There wasn't any hair this morning as I looked through it. That was pleasant first thing in the morning but I wanted to be sure. It was just food. I can't be sure the other times as I didn't look as carefully.

Honestly I wouldn't worry too much. As long as it's not daily abd most meals stay down. Again some cats eat biscuits whole which doesn't help or they just eat too fast. Bigger kibble may help.

I've put a golf ball in his food bowl tonight. He has to move it to eat. Seems to have worked for now although he's now eyeing up my ranchu tank!

Was my bosses suggestion, he does it with his Labrador although apparently the dog has worked out to lift the ball out then Hoover it up

He was sick again this morning. Again within 30 seconds of eating. It's got to be because he bolts his food I think. That was with 2 golf balls in it to slow it down. I'm going to try putting it down in several bowls next. I have to admit it's quite worrying but it genuinely doesn't seem to bother the cat

Would dry food help maybe?

Don't forget that cats will eat until they are sick if they have enough food to. How many times a day are you feeding him? Try feeding him less at each sitting but more often?

Ive been giving him a pouch in the morning, one in the evening and a bowl of biscuits over night. Im out in the day a few days a week so cant feed him at lunch times then and thought I would feed him at the same time every day?

Hmm, how big is he, physically? Rough measurement of height and length?

Try giving him a raw chicken leg. He won't be able to bolt that, will have to chew on it to get the food.

I thought that chicken bones were a no-no for cats?

He is 6.05kg and about 18 inches long. The vet says he seems perfectly healthy. They checked his stomach again and all his vitals and they are fine. They are going to do some blood tests to make sure though.

I think I will try putting down a little food each time I feed him then

Nope. Ours eat plenty of raw chicken. Also raw beef lumps.

Cooked bones are a no-no but raw is fine.
