Opinions sought please.
My 2005 sl55 is currently shod with pirelli p zeroes,I should add that it has 18" wheels.these tyres have lasted about 13000 miles which I don't consider to be too bad,and have performed well during this period.
I would be interested to know if any PHers have found alternative tyres that they consider suit the car better than the Perelli s that Mercedes themselves recommend ?

I had Contis on my SL - personally I'd go with whichever premium brand you can find.

Many thanks for the replies above, seems the cars are not too tyre sensitive.

Have Yokohama Advan Sports as these were on the car when I bought it. Will most probably replace with Michelin as they have a better wheel protector and wear better.

Depending on the age, think about replacing the tyre pressure sensors if they are more than 6 years old. Otherwise, the tyres will only have to come off again when the batteries start to give up and you get lots of error messages.
