Wiper linkage removal

Hi all
As my wipers are next to useless mainly as the linkage is knackered I need to remove and replace and wondered if anyone has attempted this? I currently have the dash out as the facias are being Hydro Dipped and I have found a few holes which I can barely get my hands into and touch the linkage, I was thinking I would make the holes bigger for better access but was hoping someone could let me know if there is a knack to removal, any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated. Just thought I would reply to my own post!!
After much head scratching my mate and I decided we would tackle the wipers in our own way, my dash is out so we decided to access the wipers via the panel at the bottom of the window so jigsaw to hand we cut a rectangular hole and managed to remove the linkage complete with wheel boxes. My wiper drive cable and wheels boxes were knackered and turning them round to get fresh teeth didn't work so new wheel boxes ordered from TVR Power and a stronger wiper drive sourced from Exactly TVR. New parts fitted and I now have fully functional wipers happy days.
