i wouldn't say ban them but they do some to attract a certain type of person. I was behind the other week at traffic lights, when they turned green he went off into a wheely for a good 50m. Turned into Redbitz performance in cannock, very professional I thought seen as he went flying round the back like a member of staff!

Surely they offer all of the disadvantages of a motorbike (being on the "outside") but none of the advantages (being narrow and manoeuvrable)?
Good point. Not too disimilar to those awful Atom things. Why o why would anyone bother.

And they're petrol, would get far better MPG with diesel.

How can you ferry the mother in law about with one?

What about tip runs and trips to Ikea?

Weren't they made road legal to bring us into line with European regulations, the same as the 30 something MPH on a training ground emergency stop on the motorcycle test?

Some proper clowns on these in Wolverhampton. Ridiculous exhaust which are stupid loud, no safety gear.

And looking at other members of the public as they like an audience, so don't pay attention to the road.

Do away with them
Exact same thing I see in Reading. Utter chavs, only out for attention. Drive like tts, then staring at my wife hoping she'd be impressed? She's not smiling at you, she's laughing at you rofl

Why ban them? st as they may be, I've never seen someone do anything beyond make a noise on them.

I'm really against banning things that annoy you - live and let live. Otherwise it'll be your own antisocial vices that get banned next.

Around where i live they are only driven by utter s who have no respect for other road users. A ban is probably going too far however they should be forced to wear helmets though, if only for their own safety

Is there a reason why they haven't made it law to where a helmet on one?

Errr, to go between fields?
Exactly. Are you expected to get a trailer and tow vehicle to get to another field a mile down the road? ATV's and UTV's are excellent agricultural and forestry vehicles. Low ground impact, relatively economical and they are quick enough to not be a nuisance to other traffic. I'd rather be stuck behind an ATV than a tractor on the roads.

Why should you be forced to do something for your own safety??

No - just want to rid the streets of anti-social feral chavs on usually illegal machines being a menace to normal, law abiding people.

If these assorted thugs and chavs stayed in their council house dominated st holes I wouldn't give a toss.

Maybe just a GPS enabled immobiliser that renders the vehicle unusable in areas where people with jobs live.

There are plenty of laws already in place to deal with the above.

Police state for JohnFM please?

how are they illegal? They have tax, insurance and MOT (hopefully) just like your car, they have every right to be on the road as you do.

Does this also mean motorbikes should be banned because they're often loud and sometimes ridden by yobs? Oh and maybe the car should be banned because they're often loud and sometimes driven by yobs?

There is law in place for 'anti-social feral chavs' why does it matter what mode of transport they use?
