I have mine set a bit further forward than his, so it's a bit more vulnerable but I prefer the look, and have scraped the bottom of it going up/down inclines a good few times - sometimes making the most horrendous noise but no damage at all so far.
No problem with speedbumps either.
I've also clouted both sides against high kerbs swinging the nose in to end parking spaces and all that has happened is some of the lacquer has been rubbed off!
Not too expensive to replace either.
Mine took a battering last weekend, so bad it took a piece out of the clam where it locates in the body Just PM'd Tuxman for a carbon one. Also, anyone know a good place for carbon wrapping, want to get a couple of subtle bits done..diffuser / wing end plates - basically all the black bits
